Plague doctors during the Middle Ages went from home to home diagnosing the ill. The hood and cloak were to protect the doctor from the disease, with the stick being used to keep the infected at bay. Inside the beak of the mask, herbs and spices were used to cover the smell of decay. This was originally drawn as a tattoo idea for a friend.

The “Rip It n’ Clip It” Event took place on June 17th, 2011 at the Amesbury Sport Park. Participants included Newburyport Mayor Donna Holaday, Amesbury Mayor Thatcher Keezer, Essex County Sheriff Frank Cousins, Provident Bank CEO Charlie Cullen, and State Representative Mike Costello, as well as legions of family, friends, and teammates of Nate.

The Nathaniel Bibaud Recovery Fund was established after Nate sustained a life changing injury. Nate was in a very serious car accident on Dec. 11, 2010 and sustained a dislocation of his spinal vertebrae resulting in a C5 level injury, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. The fund’s goal is to collect
donations for his transportation, and long-term rehabilitation.
